Problem getting started with pdfrider

description

Hi

I use a Sony Vaio with Windows 7 (32 bit).

I downloaded the pdfrider0.6.1-setup.exe file and ran it. It seems to have installed in a Pdfrider folder in Program Files and an icon has been created on my desktop.

However, no new pdfrider toolbar appears in my pdf readers (have tried with Adobe and Foxit), which I understand should appear.

If I run the utility from the desktop icon and try to open a pdf file, nothing happens and the utility freezes.

Would greatly appreciate any suggestions about what I am doing wrong and how to correct it.

It could be a problem with Internet Explorer and Adobe Reader.
What versions of Internet Explorer and Adobe Reader are you using?
Are you able to browse PDF documents inside Internet Explorer?

Hi francescot
I have IE 11 installed and can browse PDF documents inside it. However, i usually use Firefox.
The reader is Adove Reader XI.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/solutions.

I have just tried to run the program on a Windows 7 SP1 (32bit) system with IE 11 and Adobe Reader XI and it works even better than on Windows XP.
Is almost impossible to find the cause of the error, because it could be due by the many Windows updates (including IE and .NET Framework) installed in the pc.
Sorry.
